Ductless air conditioner is a split system belonging to the class of semi-industrial air conditioning equipment. Consists of two blocks: external, which is located outside the building and internal. The principle of operation and efficiency of the air conditioner operating on heating

Modern air conditioning systems in 99 cases out of 100 have the ability to work both for air cooling and heating. Moreover, when working for heating, the system is so economical that it leaves behind all existing heating systems.

The energy efficiency coefficient (A) in this case can be up to 3.6. This means that with the consumption of 1000 W of electricity for the operation of the air conditioner, heat is generated in the amount of 3600 W. It can also be noted here that with the simplest and most affordable heating with the help of electric heaters, for every 1000 W of consumed electricity, heat can be obtained in an amount of, maximum, 990 W.

However, with such a heating system, there are some nuances.

Such efficiency of the air conditioning system for heating may not be suitable for all regions of the Earth and not for all outdoor temperatures. The lower the outside temperature, the lower the efficiency.

Each air conditioning system has recommended outside air temperatures at which it will function without additional design changes. Economy-class air conditioners, operating according to the on / off principle in heating mode, can operate at air temperatures up to minus 7 ° C. At lower temperatures, such equipment requires a special design.

Not many people know that an air conditioner can not only cool the air, but also serve as a heater. Such a device is called an inverter air conditioner or a household heat pump. For the price, this type of air conditioner is 1.5-2 times higher, not intended for constant heating in winter. But this equipment can also reduce heating costs by 60%.

Being used to such a comfortable stay in the autumn, we want to continue using it, besides, it is much more profitable than various heating devices. It is categorically impossible to use a conventional air conditioner for heating a room in winter (temperature limitation is -7 degrees). There are a number of reasons for this:

  • At low temperatures outside, the air conditioner parts wear out much faster, which will soon lead to its breakdown due to the thick consistency of the oil.

This type of air conditioning can be used almost all year round. The main component is a heat pump, which is used for heating, cooling and even providing hot water for any type of premises. From the beginning of the cold season, this system can provide excellent heating and hot water supply, and keep it cool during the hot season. Due to the presence of high technologies, the manufacturing campaigns offer customers to use this invention even when the temperature drops to -25 degrees.

This type of air conditioning can be easily installed in any room in any climatic zone. The advantage is that this heating complex does not require large costs for its installation. No need to carry out land work, no separate premises and complex structures are required. Everything is very simple, an outdoor unit is installed outside the room, and an indoor wall unit (or a hydraulic unit, if necessary) is located inside.

The outdoor complex draws in air and warms it, then, with the help of freon, it is transferred to the indoor unit. In turn, the indoor unit can directly heat the air or be connected to any heating system.

This air conditioner for heating can be used all year round, both for heating the premises and for the availability of hot water, which will significantly improve living conditions for residents living in harsh climatic conditions.

So, the most economical and expedient way of autonomous heating of an apartment is heating with an air conditioner. But not everything is so simple. Not every piece of equipment is suitable for this purpose. The simplest models of air conditioners with heating (on / off) can operate on heat only up to an external temperature of -5 ° C and their energy efficiency in such a situation leaves much to be desired. Therefore, they can only be used for heating during the transition period, and for the winter they must be completely turned off in order to avoid breakdowns (which, moreover, no manufacturer recognizes as warranties).
